Blockchain Powered E-Commerce Firm Collaborates with UPS

United Parcel Service (UPS), the U.S based multinational package delivery and supply chain management giant has collaborated with e-commerce technology firm Inxeption. The announcement was made in a press release by UPS on 21 March.

The press report notes that both firms are aiming to build a new blockchain integration platform called Inxeption Zippy. The platform will support business-to-business (B2B) traders to set up, trade and ship products online with ease.

Inxeption Zippy encourages retail businesses and distributes their commodities on various online channels from a secure place. The platform, Zippy will help traders to enlist, market and trade their products to customers.

Zippy’s blockchain-backed technology would protect sensitive information such as contract-specific pricing and bargain prices. The information will only be shared between the buyer and seller.

As per the report, Kevin Warren, Chief Marketing Officer at UPS stated:

“The growth of e-commerce is driving B2B buyers to expect the same fast and convenient shopping experiences that consumers enjoy.”

Warren, further explained that partnering with Inxeption; UPS is planning to develop innovative solutions. The solutions will help small enterprises deliver quality service for their consumers and also to flourish in the e-commerce industry.

INXEPTION ZIPPY PLATFORM OFFERS TRADERS TO VIEW COMPLETE SUPPLY CHAIN FROM PRODUCT LISTING TO DELIVERY OF THE PRODUCT

The integration of UPS with Inxeption will create a flawless, end-to-end experience. The traders can view their complete supply chain from product listing to delivery of the product. Traders can also leverage competitive UPS global transportation, tracking and logistics services.

The UPS services will include a series of sales and supply-chain management capabilities. The services will offer traders to build a webpage, upload product data and schedule orders. It would also help in shipments, managing purchase orders, process transactions and conduct search engine marketing. 

According to the report, Farzad Dibachi, CEO of Inxeption said that the e-commerce firm is transforming B2B enterprises. The e-commerce firm is bringing businesses and customers together online in a reliable way.

Dibachi further explained that the alliance with UPS would create simplified cost solutions for B2B traders with limited digital marketing and IT resources.

In January 2019, American market research company, Forrester published a report, forecasting that the US B2B eCommerce will reach $1.8 trillion by 2023.

Recently, Japan’s e-commerce giant Rakuten announced a significant update to its Rakuten Pay mobile app. The app’s new structure indicated to back cryptocurrency payments in addition to fiat. The report indicated that the payment app will offer ‘all payment solutions embedded into one platform.’
